Today, Ms. Eliet Magogo, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the High Commission of the United Republic of Tanzania in Nairobi, received a delegation of about 30 Non-Government Education Providers from the Tanzania Association of Managers and Owners of Non-Government Schools and Colleges (TAMONGSCO).

The delegation is in Kenya on a benchmark visit to share experiences with their counterparts at the Kenya Private Schools Association (KPSA).

While in Kenya, TAMONGSCO informed the Mission that they will also visit the Ministry of Education, non-government educational institutions, and selected schools in Kenya. The purpose of the visits is to gain experience on education regulatory frameworks and best practices in service delivery.

Welcoming the delegation, Ms. Magogo underscored the importance of collaboration between education institutions across the region. She noted that such exchanges not only foster partnership but also drive innovation through the observation of best practices and the adoption of proven strategies.

The benchmark visit is scheduled to conclude on 1st August 2026.

On behalf of the High Commissioner and the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania, Ms. Magogo reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to collaborating with the private sector in the provision of quality education for the sustainable development of the country.
